His Royal Highness Crown Prince Aleksandar II

of Yugoslavia

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II, Head of the Royal House, expresses deep gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Dr. Vojislav Kostunica; to the Prime Minister of the Federal Government, Dr. Zoran Zizic; to all members of the Federal Government; to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Dr. Zoran Djindjic; and to all other authorities of the Republic of Serbia, who have contributed to today’s decision by the Federal Government of Yugoslavia. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II owes special gratitude to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle for His spiritual support.

The Karadjordjevic dynasty is closely linked to the people and is very happy to come home to be with the nation after so many decades. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II and his family believe that this historic decision will give the Royal Family the opportunity to contribute to the well being of the people.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II represents the symbol of unity and stability and wishes to stress that he fully respects the ongoing democratic process.

The Crown Prince will now establish his home in the Palace and work in the best interests of all the people regardless of their ethnicity or religion.
