HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR

 OPENES  FRESCOS EXHIBITION IN UZICE

Earlier this evening, HRH Crown Prince Alexander opened an exhibition of fresco copies from the thirteenth and fourteenth century at the City Gallery in Uzice.

On this occasion Crown Prince Aleksandar said that the meeting with the spirit and soul left on the walls of the churches by our ancestors had an additional and deeper meaning for all of us. It is not only we who watch the images on the frescos, they watch us as well, they evaluate our work and assess whether we are worthy of our forefathers.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar emphasised that at this time democracy, peace and progress should be our contribution to our forefathers’ vow and their great legacy.

Prior to the opening of the exhibition, HRH Prince Aleksandar met prominent people of the Zlatibor district. In an open and friendly conversation, the hosts informed Crown Prince Aleksandar about the situation in the district and showed an interest in the Crown Prince’s views on the current situation in the country.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar was accompanied on this trip by academician Milorad Pavic, a member of the Crown Council.
