H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AWARDED  DIPLOMA
OF ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

 

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Prince Filip attended today at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts the 100th anniversary of Ethnographic museum.

Crown Prince Aleksandar II was awarded a diploma and a commemorative gift as a sign of gratitude of the Museum to the Royal House for numerous valuable works bestowed since its foundation by King Petar I  in 1904. up to the present days.

Expressing his gratitude, Crown Prince Aleksandar II said that great nations are recognized by their bonds with the folk culture and spiritual and material traces – nations with old roots and fresh visions.

“For the sake of all that was preserved from oblivion through your efforts, and on behalf of all who will know who they are and where they come from, I would like to thank you for always being there, for doing your work and for rewarding this people and this country with more than you ever asked for in return”, emphasized Crown Prince Aleksandar II.

Besides Crown Prince Aleksandar II, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle, Dr. Vojislav Koštunica President of Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Dr. Zoran Đinđić Prime minister of the Republic of Serbia, Serbian Ministry of Culture, Belgrade City Hall and others were also awarded.
