Sre\u0107an sam i ponosan \u0161to se takav va\u017ean datum u srpskoj istoriji ne zaboravlja.<\/p>\n<p>Srpska istoriografija jo\u0161 uvek nije dovoljno osvetlila period vladavine moga dede, ili je to pogre\u0161no i jednostrano tuma\u010dila. Zahvalan sam dr Batakovi\u0107u i ostalim govornicima ve\u010deras, koji \u0107e dodatno osvetliti ulogu i zna\u010daj mog dede u srpskoj istoriji &#8220;, rekao je Prestolonaslednik u svom pozdravu gostima i u\u010desnicima okruglog stola.<\/p>\n<p>Du\u0161an T. Batakovi\u0107, \u010dlan Krunskog ve\u0107a i direktor Balkanolo\u0161kog instituta SANU je istakao: \u201eKralj Aleksandar je bio odlu\u010dni modernizator, va\u017ean \u010dinilac regionalne stabilnosti i istrajni zagovornik balkanskog pomirenja i mirnodopske saradnje. Kralj Aleksandar\u00a0 je nastojao da stvori jednu novu naciju sa ciljem da predupredi rastu\u0107e nacionalne sukobe i verske podele i da se, jednovremeno odupre prodoru bolj\u0161evizma i fa\u0161izma u jugoisto\u010dnu i centralnu Evropu: Bila je to, sasvim sigurno,\u00a0 najnaprednija ideja toga vremena. Doprinos Kralja Aleksandra I srpskoj i jugoslovenskoj istoriji bio\u00a0 je mnogo ve\u0107i nego \u0161to se misli, i prevrednovanje njegove istorijske uloge\u00a0 je neophodno. Koliko je Aleksandar\u00a0 I bio voljen i po\u0161tovan u bezmalo svim pokrajinama Kraljevine Jugoslavije svedo\u010di\u00a0 \u010dinjenica da je na stotine hiljada ljudi danima kle\u010dalo kraj pruge od Splita do Beograda kako bi pozdravili voz sa posmrtnim ostacima vite\u0161kog kralja, mu\u010dki ubijenog u me\u0111unarodnoj zaveri fa\u0161ista, ultranacionalista i revizionista, a\u00a0 pod patronatom Musolinija. Pucnji u kralja Aleksandra i francuskog ministra Luja Bartua, bili su pucnji u mir i stabilnost u Evropi i zloslutna najava nadolaze\u0107e prevlasti ekstremisti\u010dkih ideologija, fa\u0161izma i nacizma\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Istaknuti istori\u010dari Stanislav Sretenovi\u0107, Dragan Baki\u0107 i Aleksandar Marinkovi\u0107 u\u010destvovali suna okruglom stolu, dok je Du\u0161an T.
