Na inicijativu i privatnim sredstvima kralja Aleksandra I, od novembra 1933. do aprila 1934. <a href=\"https:\/\/royalfamily.org\/ivan-mestrovic\/?lang=lat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Me\u0161trovi\u0107<\/a> je zajedno sa timom klesara radio na izradi skulpture Povijest Hrvata za jedinstvenu vrtnu celinu Dvorskog kompleksa. Delo je dopremljeno maja meseca 1934. i sme\u0161teno u vrtni paviljon, naspram glavnog ulaza u Kraljevski dvor i tako dodato u privatnu umetni\u010dku kolekciju Kralja Aleksandra I. Povjest Hrvata predstavlja \u017eensku figuru odevenu u stilizovani nacionalni kostim Dalmatinske Zagore, pa ne \u010dudi \u0161to se u dokumentima naziva i skulpturom Zagorkinje. Pro\u010di\u0161\u0107ene povr\u0161ine, ozbiljno lice bez izraza, sa rukama sklopljenim na horizontalnoj povr\u0161ini plo\u010de u njenom krilu odaju utisak savr\u0161enog sklada i mira. Ovakav koncept \u017eenskog lika, arhetipa majke mudrosti, nalazi se i u ranijoj Me\u0161trovi\u0107evoj skulpturi iz 1908, Moja majka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Horizontalna plo\u010da na kojoj po\u010divaju sklopljene ruke \u017eene nosi natpis ispisan glagoljicom <em>Povijest Hrvata. <\/em>U mitologiziranoj viziji jedinstvenog jugoslovenskog prostora u okviru oficijelnog dvorskog vrta ona predstavlja pandan arhetipu ratnika oli\u010denom u liku Milo\u0161a Obili\u0107a.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">mermer<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">206 cm<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">bez sign.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Inv. br.\u00a040 \/02<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Poreklo: otkup Dvora KJ, po
