Me\u0111unarodni dan holokausta obele\u017eava se \u0161irom sveta 27. januara od 2005. godine, odlukom Generalne skup\u0161tine Ujedinjenih nacija. Ovim povodom, Njegovo Kraljevsko Viso\u010danstvo Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar uputio je poruku javnosti:<\/p>\n

\u201cNa dana\u0161ni dan se\u0107amo se \u017ertava holokausta\u2013 miliona nevinih ljudi koji su stradali tokom Drugog svetskog rata; mislimo i na one koje su pre\u017eiveli strahote logora, ali i na sve hrabre ljude koji su rizikovali svoje \u017eivote da bi pomogli onima koji su bili meta nacista.<\/p>\n

Istovremeno, ovaj dan nas podse\u0107a na va\u017enost po\u0161tovanja prava svakog pojedinca na \u017eivot u slobodi i prava svakog naroda na negovanje svoje kulture i tradicije.<\/p>\n

Stradanje u II Svetskom ratu opomena je za sve nas da pru\u017eimo svoj doprinos u borbi protiv nasilja, netolerancije i svih oblika diskriminacije.
