Sokolski savez Srbije odr\u017eao je u subotu 12. novembra u Narodnom pozori\u0161tu u Beogradu sve\u010danu akademiju, povodom 140 godina od osnivanja Sokolskog pokreta u Srbiji, kojoj su prisustvovali Nj.K.V. Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar i Princeza Katarina.<\/p>\n

\u201e\u010cestitam Sokolskom savezu Srbije ovaj zna\u010dajan jubilej \u2013 140 godina promovisanja pravih vrednosti i zna\u010daja sporta i gimnastike u razvoju, kako mladima, tako i starijima.\u00a0 Iako nazvan po ve\u0107 jednoj jakoj i mo\u0107noj ptici, mo\u017eemo re\u0107i da je srpski Soko i poput feniksa \u2013 iako potisnut i su\u0161tinski zabranjen od strane diktature posle Drugog svetskog rata, duh Sokola je opstao, i ponovo se digao iz pepela.<\/p>\n

Sokoli su oduvek bili udru\u017eenje sportskih vitezova koji su \u017eeleli da kroz sport izgrade zdrave, moralne i jake \u010dlanove dru\u0161tva. Kao takvi, Sokoli su bili Spartanci modernog doba, pro\u017eeti idealima bratstva, slobode i jednakosti. Veoma sam ponosan \u0161to je moja porodica uvek bila bliska i podr\u017eavala rad Sokola \u2013 moj deda Kralj Aleksandar I imao je zna\u010dajnu ulogu u razvoju pokreta i uveo ga je u dr\u017eavne institucije, pre svih \u0161kole i vojsku, a moj otac, Kralj Petar II, bio je dugi niz godina stare\u0161ina Sokola\u201c, izjavio je ovom prilikom Nj.K.V. Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar.<\/p>\n

Sokolski pokret je gimnasti\u010dka organizacija za sve uzraste, koju su prvi put osnovali u Pragu u \u010ce\u0161koj oblasti Austrougarske 1862. godine Miroslav Tir\u0161 i Jindrih Figner. Zasnovan je na principu “u zdravom telu zdrav duh”. Sokoli su kroz predavanja, diskusije i grupne izlete ostvarivali ono \u0161to je Tir\u0161 smatrao fizi\u010dkim, moralnim i intelektualnim treningom za celokupni narod. Pokret se pro\u0161irio i po svim krajevima sa slovenskim kulturama, uklju\u010duju\u0107i i Srbiju.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
