Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar uputio je slede\u0107u poruku:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Gra\u0111anima Srbije, Republike Srpske i svim pripadnicima na\u0161eg naroda \u0161irom sveta upu\u0107ujem \u010destitke povodom Dana srpskog jedinstva, slobode i nacionalne zastave. Ove godine, umesto tradicionalnih podse\u0107anja na dane \u010dasti i ponosa i pouke iz na\u0161e pro\u0161losti, sveop\u0161ta situacija u na\u0161em dru\u0161tvu je takva da se u ovoj poruci moram fokusirati na ono \u0161to nam se sada doga\u0111a, da podsetim sve da je ovaj nacionalni praznik na prvom mestu posve\u0107en <strong>jedinstvu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Pre vi\u0161e od dve godine, povodom Dana dr\u017eavnosti Srbije, Sretenja Gospodnjeg, izneo sam veliku zabrinutost \u0161to je na\u0161e dru\u0161tvo postalo previ\u0161e isklju\u010divo. Na opasnost rastu\u0107e ostra\u0161\u0107enosti i podela upozoravao sam i u svim porukama upu\u0107enim otkako su u na\u0161oj zemlji pre deset meseci po\u010dela velika dru\u0161tvena previranja i apelovao sam na razumevanje i slogu, da se neke granice ne pre\u0111u. Iako se te moje re\u010di nisu uvek svima svidele, kao stare\u0161ina Kraljevskog doma imam obavezu i du\u017enost da uvek budem u slu\u017ebi i radim na korist celokupnog na\u0161eg naroda, pa stoga ni ova poruka koju sada \u0161aljem nije upu\u0107ena samo jednom njegovom delu, nego svima!<\/p>\n<p>Imamo samo jednu Otad\u017ebinu, ona je nedeljiva. Stoga, ni mi kao narod se ne smemo deliti i me\u0111u sobom glo\u017eiti. Iako se nikada ne me\u0161am u politiku, Kraljevska porodica Srbije je uvek bila i osta\u0107e iznad nje, uvek \u0107u se sna\u017eno zalagati za demokratiju \u010dija su jedna od osnovnih na\u010dela postojanje i po\u0161tovanje razli\u010ditosti mi\u0161ljenja. Pluralizam i uva\u017eavanje druga\u010dijih stavova su ono \u0161to jedno dru\u0161tvo \u010dine istinski demokratskim.<\/p>\n<p>Sve ovo ne govorim tek tako. Me\u0111u svim akterima aktuelnih de\u0161avanja u na\u0161oj zemlji, primetna je prevelika netrpeljivost koja se \u010dak grani\u010di sa mr\u017enjom prema drugoj strani. Takva atmosfera dovodi i do nasilja kojem smo na\u017ealost svedo\u010dili, a strahujem da mo\u017ee dovesti i do ne\u010dega mnogo goreg. Koja god politi\u010dka opcija da prevagne, mi \u0107emo i dalje, u ovoj jednoj jedinoj Otad\u017ebini koju imamo, \u017eiveti zajedno sa svima onima koji ne misle isto kao i mi! Onih koji se ne sla\u017eu sa na\u0161im stavovima ima i me\u0111u na\u0161im prijateljima, kom\u0161ijama, porodicom. Tako je uvek bilo, i uvek \u0107e biti. Brojni primeri iz na\u0161e sopstvene istorije nas mogu na to podsetiti, ali tako\u0111e i na to da su na\u0161i preci uspevali da prevazi\u0111u ono \u0161to ih deli, te da se fokusiraju na ono \u0161to ih spaja. Da nije tako bilo, ne bi bilo ni nas ni dana\u0161nje Srbije.<\/p>\n<p>Zato se tenzije moraju smiriti! Iako mo\u017eda deluje da je granica nepovratno pre\u0111ena, jo\u0161 uvek nije kasno da se sve \u0161to se u na\u0161oj zemlji de\u0161ava vrati u okvire demokratskog pona\u0161anja. Jedinstvo na koje apelujem ne zna\u010di jednoumlje, nego je podse\u0107anje da iznad dnevne politike, iznad svih razlika, postoji ne\u0161to mnogo bitnije, va\u017enije, neprolazno \u2013 a to je Srbija i dobrobit i budu\u0107nost srpskog i svih drugih naroda koji u njoj \u017eive. Tako\u0111e, sve ovo \u0161to govorim ne zna\u010di ni poziv bilo kome da odustane od svojih stavova i vrednosti za koje se zala\u017ee, nego je podse\u0107anje na koji na\u010din se za svoja uverenja treba i jedino mo\u017ee boriti u jednom savremenom i civilizovanom dru\u0161tvu.<\/p>\n<p>Na\u0161a zastava, kojoj je dana\u0161nji praznik tako\u0111e posve\u0107en, je uvek bila jedan od najja\u010dih i najva\u017enijih nacionalnih i dr\u017eavnih simbola, \u010dija je osnovna uloga bila da nas oko sebe okuplja i ujedini. Zato je oduvek i bila toliko va\u017ena, mnogi \u017eivoti su pali u odbrani nje kao simbola na\u0161e slobode&#8230; Upravo tu zastavu na svojim skupovima nose obe strane uklju\u010dene u aktuelna de\u0161avanja. Setimo se zato svaki put kada razvijemo na\u0161u trobojku, da je njena osnovna uloga da nas oko sebe okupi u ljubavi prema Srbiji, a ne da se ispod na\u0161eg barjaka glo\u017eimo, delimo, ili, ne daj Bo\u017ee, mrzimo. Jedino po\u0161tuju\u0107i sve na\u0161e razlike, uva\u017eavaju\u0107i \u010dinjenicu da su one oduvek postojale i da \u0107e uvek postojati, bi\u0107emo dostojni graditelji budu\u0107nosti na\u0161e
