Nj.K.V. Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar je povodom Me\u0111unarodnog dana se\u0107anja na \u017ertve holokausta, koji se od 2005. godine odlukom Generalne skup\u0161tine Ujedinjenih nacija obele\u017eava u svetu 27. januara, uputio slede\u0107u poruku:<\/p>\n

\u201eMe\u0111unarodni dan se\u0107anja na \u017ertve holokausta podse\u0107a nas da su u\u017easi Drugog svetskog rata bili napad na \u010dove\u010danstvo, na samu ljudskost i sve \u0161to zna\u010di biti \u010dovek, i upozorenje je dokle sve mr\u017enja, netolerancija i diskriminacija mogu dovesti. Na\u0161a je du\u017enost da po\u0161tujemo vrednosti slobode, dostojanstva i me\u0111usobnog po\u0161tovanja i da osiguramo da se takvi zlo\u010dini nikada ne ponove.<\/p>\n

Na dana\u0161nji dan se\u0107amo se i molimo se za milione nevinih \u017ertava holokausta, se\u0107amo se onih koji su pre\u017eiveli u\u017ease koncentracionih logora i odajemo po\u010dast svima onima koji su pokazali hrabrost i \u010dove\u010dnost spasavaju\u0107i druge.<\/p>\n

Narod Srbije se sa ponosom se\u0107a hrabrosti na\u0161ih predaka, koji su se oduprli nacisti\u010dkoj okupaciji i suprotstavili tom zlu koje je proizvelo u\u017ease holokausta. Mnogi na\u0161i sunarodnici su dali svoje \u017eivote u odbrani pravde i ljudskog dostojanstva, ostavljaju\u0107i nam nasle\u0111e hrabrosti i moralne odgovornosti.<\/p>\n

Se\u0107anje na patnje pro\u0161losti obavezuje nas da obrazujemo budu\u0107e generacije, suprotstavljamo se antisemitizmu, rasizmu i svim oblicima predrasuda i da gradimo dru\u0161tva zasnovana na toleranciji, jednakosti i po\u0161tovanju ljudskih prava.
