TRH Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine, Hereditary Prince Philip and Princess Danica attended last Thursday night the highlight of this year’s international program “It Might Get Loud” Boutique Luxury Travel Workshop, a formal gala dinner held at the White Palace. His Royal Highness addressed all present on this occasion and welcomed them to the home of the Royal Family of Serbia.
This exclusive, high-level event in the field of luxury travel and hospitality brought together renowned hotels from Serbia and the wider region with a selected group of leading travel professionals from the United States of America and other key international markets. The workshop is of exceptional importance to Serbia’s hospitality and events industries. By gathering more than thirty leading hotel groups from across the region and over eighty selected international travel advisors and tour operators, it created direct business opportunities in some of the world’s most demanding markets, while connecting the region as a whole and positioning Belgrade and Serbia as leading destinations for luxury and business tourism in this part of Europe.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander addressed the assembled guests and spoke about the importance of preserving cultural identity while strengthening international friendship and positive promotion of Serbia’s rich culture and unique spirit. “Serbia is a dynamic crossroad of civilisations, rich with history and tradition. It is a place where medieval Orthodox monasteries and fortresses blend seamlessly with modern life. Where historical heritage, respect for our ancestors and our glorious past, is woven into everyday life, and keeps living in our rich culture.
From our music and our literature, our cultural and historical monuments, to our excellent cuisine, vibrant and colourful cities, to our mountain villages where time seems to have stopped decades ago, Serbia has so much to be proud of, but its greatest value is its people. Honest and open, Serbs will welcome every guest with open arms, making them feel at home. Our people have also contributed and are contributing tremendously to the world we live in, with innovations, ideas, and vision.
Our culture is very rich, but we are also always very open to all the other people in the world, to connect with them, exchange knowledge and ideas, learn more about their heritage, and to make bridges of friendship. That is why events like this are very important: to connect different nations and inspire them to cooperate and to appreciate each other, to learn more about other countries and cultures.” The Crown Prince concluded with an invitation for the people to visit Serbia, to see firsthand how beautiful our country is.
The Workshop is being organised in cooperation with some of Belgrade’s foremost hotels and features personalised service and a carefully curated program combining business activities with the finest aspects of Serbian culture, gastronomy and hospitality.
