The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation received a major humanitarian donation from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Canada. The donation was secured through the efforts of Lifeline Humanitarian Organisation of Chicago, founded under the patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, and will be distributed to children in need throughout Serbia.

The donation was made possible thanks to the initiative of Mr. Michael Gruyich, whose strong connection to Serbia and commitment to helping children led him to approach Marineland with the idea of giving its remaining merchandise a meaningful new purpose.

The shipment includes hundreds of items, including stuffed animals, children’s clothing, backpacks, school supplies, hats, socks, towels, cups and other children’s accessories. The donation will be carefully sorted and distributed according to the needs of various social welfare institutions. Particular attention will be given to children living in orphanages and residential care, children with disabilities, families experiencing hardship, and women and children served by shelters. Some of the larger stuffed animals will be reserved for special occasions, allowing children to receive them during Christmas and Easter celebrations.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine expressed her deep appreciation to everyone who made this generous initiative possible: “There is something deeply beautiful in the simple act of giving. When people come together with goodwill and understand the joy that a gift can bring to a child, even an item that might otherwise have been left unused can become something very special.

We are deeply grateful to Michael Gruyich, to Marineland, and to the Lifeline Chicago Board members who helped make this shipment possible. These gifts will bring smiles, comfort and happiness to children who deserve to know that people care about them.”

Lifeline Humanitarian Organization has been providing humanitarian assistance to children, families and vulnerable communities in Serbia and Republika Srpska for more than three decades, working with donors and partners across the world to support children’s homes, hospitals, shelters and other institutions in need.
