Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, together with His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia went last Saturday for a three day visit to Sweden, for the consecration of St. Sava Church in Stockholm. During their visit, Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine met with Their Majesties King Carl Gustaf XVI and Queen Silvia of Sweden.
His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia officiated the Holy Liturgy at St. Sava Church on Sunday, October 5, with several Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church: His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb and Ljubljana, His Grace Bishop Georgije of Canada, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa, His Grace Bishop Dositej of Britain and Scandinavia, His Grace Bishop Jeronim of Jegar.
During the Holy Liturgy and Consecration there were great number of faithful present, clergy and HE Mr Dusan Crnogorcevic, ambassador of Serbia to the Kingdom of Sweden.
Yesterday evening, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine met with Their Majesties King Carl Gustaf XVI and Queen Silvia of Sweden.
Today, on 6 October 2014, in the morning, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine and Patriarch Irinej of Serbia visited Uppsala.
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, together with His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia will meet today with HE Mr Dusan Crnogorcevic, ambassador of Serbia to the Kingdom of Sweden.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander expressed his satisfaction with the visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, and said that he was very happy that our Diaspora in Sweden is doing so much to preserve their roots to the homeland and how well they have promoted our history and traditions. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess where deeply touch by the very warm reception and hospitality of the Syriac Orthodox Church and also very touched by the wonderful friendship shown by the Swedish people and the diverse ethnic groups living in Sweden.
