An exhibition presenting the historical ties of the Karadjordjevic Dynasty and the great scientist Nikola Tesla, was officially opened tonight at the White Palace. The exhibition was organized thanks to cooperation between the Royal Palace and the Museum of Nikola Tesla.

The exhibition was officially opened by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander. Present were numerous distinguished guests from the world of culture, science and art.

“When they met in New York, my father was very young and Tesla was very old! One represented the future, the other one represented history. The fate wanted the future to turn to be uncertain, and the past to be permanent! Seven decades later we remember and mention both with melancholy and pride. For this we have good reasons! Both had ingrown into our souls and our hearts, they both represent the very essence of who we are, what we should be and what should not be changed, even if it were possible “, said His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander in his speech.

Visitors to the exhibition “Nikola Tesla and the Karadjordjevic Dynasty” will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the contacts of Nikola Tesla and the members of the Karadjordjevic Royal Family, about the Royal orders, medals and diplomas by which the Karadjordjevic’s awarded this great scientist. Among the exhibits is the famous photograph from the hotel “New Yorker” where King Peter II met with Tesla in 1942, and the photo of Tesla from the studio of Princess Vilma Lwoff-Parlaghy and many more.

This interesting exhibition was available for a tour the same night as part of “Museum Night” until the early morning hours, and the visitors had the opportunity to refresh themselves with coffee and refreshments of “Bean and Leaf”.

The exhibition will be open on weekdays until Thursday, June 1, in terms of visits at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
