THE CELEBRATION IN HONOUR OF HM
KING ALBERT II OF THE BELGIANS
Belgrade, 15 November, 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and
Crown Princess Katherine have attended tonight a reception to
celebrate the anniversary of His Majesty King Albert II’s
coronation. A reception was given by H.E. Belgian Ambassador to
Belgrade, Mr. Lits Liebaut.
His Majesty King Albert II is the son of Their Majesties King
Leopold III and Queen Astrid, and he is the grandson of Their
Majesties King Albert I and Queen Elizabeth. He took the oath and
became the King of the Belgians on November 17, 1993 (http://www.monarchie.be/en/family/).
Besides Their Royal Highnesses, the representatives of the
diplomatic core as well as the representatives of public, cultural
and political life of our country have also attended the tonight’s
reception.
