Biomedical research increasingly relies on quantitative
approaches and cutting edge technology. Many would agree that the future of
the life sciences lies at the crossroads of biology, hard sciences
(chemistry, mathematics, computer science) and engineering.
The School of Life Sciences at the Ecole
Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland – was
created on this premise.
