CHILDREN“ACTION
Belgrade, 3 December 2009 – Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine hosted more than 300 children today at the White
Palace in a reception for the pupils from International Schools
in Belgrade as a part of the “Children helping Children” action.
The concept of this project is to encourage
children to help their contemporaries from the Homes with
children without parental care, children with special needs and
Roma children. Each child will bring a present that will be
delivered to the children from Homes at the Traditional
Christmas Receptions Their Royal Highnesses will host at the
White Palace.
Princess Katherine emphasized: “It is a great
pleasure for my husband and I to welcome you to the White
Palace. Children helping children is a very important action
because it is mainly explaining to children how to develop
compassion and awareness about other peoples problems or
misfortune, and allows them to have the opportunity to help in
the way they can. I have been raised in philanthropy and I would
like to share that with the children around the world”.
The pupils from the School Prima
International performed a programme inspired by the upcoming
festive season.
The following schools came to the White
Palace: British International School of Belgrade, Ecole
Francaise de Belgrade, Deutsche Schule Belgrade, Chartwell
International School, Anglo-American School Belgrade, The
International Nursery School Belgrade, PRIMA International
School.

action, the Princess Katherine Foundation will organize the
ballet “Don Quixote” at the Sava Centre on Monday 4 January
2010, in a performance by the National Theatre as a holiday gift
for the children.
