CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE DELIVERS
HUMANITARIAN AID TO ORPHANAGE IN SOMBOR, ATTENDS CELEBRATION
OF 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INSTITUTE FOR PULMONARY DISEASES
OF VOJVODINA
Belgrade, 28 May 2010 – Her Royal
Highness Crown Princess Katherine visited today the Home for
children without parental care “Miroslav Mika Antic” in
Sombor, where she delivered a PC computer with software, the
donation of a very good friend of Their Royal Highnesses
from the United States of America Dr Margulis and 500 Kg of
pasta and 1000 Kg of flour, a donation from Zitopromet
Company from Senta. HRH Crown Princess Katherine was
welcomed by all beneficiaries of this social care
institution and director, Ms. Nada Starcevic, Mr. Zoran
Miler, Vice President of the City Assembly, and Assistant
Mayor of Sombor Mr. Zivko Conic, with whom she spent lovely
time in conversation.
Her Royal Highness then went to Novi Sad,
to the event for the 50th Anniversary of Institute for
Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina. The event was officially
opened by Dr Bojan Pajtic, President of Vojvodina
Government.
In her address, HRH Crown Princess
Katherine emphasized: “Improvements and advancement in
health care quality for all our citizens should be a joint
goal of us all. Your Institute has contributed to this noble
aim during many years, and it is still doing so”.
The Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of
Vojvodina was founded in 1960, and at that time it was the
biggest health care institution in that field of medicine in
the Former-Yugoslavia.
