THE RECIPIENTS OF THE DUKE OF
EDINBURGH’S AWARD AT THE ROYAL PALACE
Belgrade, 14 June 2010 – Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine hosted today a reception for winners of HRH The
Duke of Edinburgh’s award at the Royal Palace. Due to the
previously accepted obligations abroad, the Royal Couple was
not able to attend the ceremony, but on their behalf were
represented by Prof. Dr Ljiljana Markovic, the vice Dean of
Belgrade’s Faculty of Philology and a member of the Board of
Directors of HRH Crown Prince Alexander’s Foundation for
Education.
Nine pupils of the school won silver
medals this year. The ceremony was attended by Ms.
Aleksandra Keserovic, the Principal of the British
International School in Belgrade, parents and colleagues.

Since it was founded in 1956, The Duke of
Edinburgh’s Award has been dedicated to the personal
development of young people from all backgrounds. So far
this organization has helped over 4 million young people in
the United Kingdom and all over the World, through its 120
