EXHIBITION “MODERN SLAVERY” OPEN UNTIL 3 NOVEMBER AT THE
WHITE PALACE
Belgrade, 29 October 2010 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander opened an exhibition
“Modern Slavery” at the White Palace on the occasion of marking the month of
October as the official month of Fighting Against Human Trafficking. The
exhibition was organised by a Serbian team against human trafficking, Save the
Children and Centre for Youth integration.
Numerous workshops and panels have taken place at elementary and secondary
schools as well as at the Universities for more than 12,000 participants on this
subject. As part of the programme, artistic public contest was organized on the
subject Modern Slavery on which 1195 works of art were received from all over
Serbia. The best drawing was used as a postal stamp illustration which went on
sale in January 2008. From that action 50,000 Euros was collected to help the
victims of Human Trafficking.
This exhibition presents best works of art from the contest and is open for
visitors to the White Palace until Wednesday, 3 November 2010, between 11am and
2pm. Everyone interested should call the Office of Crown Prince Alexander on 011
