Ambulance as donation to local Health
Center
Belgrade, 28 October 2002 – After visiting Nova Varos, Prijepolje and
Priboj, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess
Katherine visited Pozega yesterday, where they donated an ambulance “Yugo
Skala 101” worth about € 4,500 to the Health Center. The ambulance is a part
of aid rallied during the great humanitarian program this June.
The Crown Prince and his wife were enthusiastically welcomed in front of
the Town Hall by several hundred of citizens, whom the Crown Prince later
addressed:
“It has been over a year since me and my family have regained our
Fatherland. Since then, we have been living amongst you, shared your worries
and your hopes, and believed we have learned well about the problems you are
facing”.
“We are here to listen to you, and it is our commitment to help in every
way and at all times”, said the Crown Prince.
On behalf of the hosts, Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by the Mayor
Mrs. Milka Marinkovic, and the citizens had their chance to talk to them.

During their visit to the Health Center, the Crown Prince and Crown
Princess delivered the ambulance worth about € 4,500 to the director Dr.
Vera Matovic.
Delivering the donation Princess Katherine said that throughout the world
there are people willing to help our hospitals by their donations.
“We shall try to be the bridge between them and you, to the joy of those
who need help”, she added.
On behalf of the staff and the citizens of Pozega Dr. Vera Matovic
thanked for the donation, emphasizing it represented great help and it would
significantly ease the work of the employees and help the patients.
