DELEGATION OF SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH’S
BISHOPRIC OF CANADA VISIT HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND THE FOUNDATION
OF HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE
Belgrade, 30 October 2002 – Delegation of Serbian Orthodox Church’s
Bishopric of Canada visited the Royal Palace in Dedinje, and had talks with
HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II. The delegation consisted of Father Vasilije
Tomic from Toronto, and Father Lazar Vukojev from Hamilton.
After a short and cordial conversation with His Royal Highness, during
which they conveyed the blessing of His Grace Bishop Georgije of Canada and
handed over the latest editions of “Istocnik” publishing house, they took a
short tour of the White Palace.
Continuing their visit, the delegation of Serbian Orthodox Church’s
Bishopric visited the headquarters of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess
Katherine and expressed their pleasure and hope that this Foundation will
continue its humanitarian work. Father Vasilije Tomic wished success in
opening the Foundation’s office in Toronto, which will be in his parish, and
expressed his willingness to help the work of this office as much as
possible.
