CONGRATULATES MR. JANEZ DRNOVSEK ON HIS VICTORY IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN
SLOVENIA
Belgrade, 11 December 2002 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II sent a letter
of congratulation to Mr. Janez Drnovsek today, on the occasion of his
victory in the elections for the new President of the Republic of Slovenia.

“It was with great pleasure that I learned about your victory in the
elections for the President of the Republic of Slovenia. I believe this is a
historic event, and I hope it will be an opportunity to establish closer
relationships between Serbia and Slovenia, the relationships that have
lasted longer than any disputes and disagreements.
I highly appreciate the contacts I have so far had with Your Excellency
and I hope that your new position as the President of the Republic of
Slovenia will further improve these contacts. I wish you success in your
work and once again send you my kindest regards, and my family joins me in
