THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES WITH GUESTS FROM
GREECE VISIT KING PETER I FOUNDATION AT OPLENAC
Belgrade, 3 January 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown
Princess Katherine, accompanied by their distinguished guests from Greece,
Captain Panagiotis Tsakos and his spouse Dr. Maria Tsakos, visited the
Foundation of King Peter I at Oplenac today.
The Crown Prince and Crown Princess with their guests first visited the
Church of Saint George, where they laid the flowers, and lit the candles
over the graves of the Prince’s ancestors, King Peter I and King Alexander
I. Afterwards they visited the Mansion of King Peter I and Museum of
Karadjordje.
During the tour of the Foundation, the Crown Prince has, with great
pleasure, talked to the guests about the history of Karadjordjevic Dynasty.

Their Royal Highnesses and the guests from Greece have visited the
primary health centre in Topola, placed in the building of the old hospital,
endowment of King Peter I, which was built in 1915.
Dr. Nada Kokasic, director of primary health centre, introduced the
guests with the lack of medical equipment, and also with very difficult
conditions in which this centre works.
Princess Katherine emphasized that she is familiar with terrible working
conditions of medical workers, and added that she will, as much as she is
