THE CHANCELLERY OF
H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE Alexander II
OF YUGOSLAVIA
CHILDREN’S RETURN FROM THE UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAY IN GREECE
Belgrade, 29 July, 2004 – The third group of our
youngsters from the homes for children without parental care
returned yesterday from Greece, where they spent their holiday
thanks to the efforts of TRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown
Princess Katherine. This year too, the hosts to our children were
the international caps in Greece.
The group of children from the homes “Drinka
Pavlovic” from Belgrade and “Vera Radivojevic” from Bela Crkva were
staying for 10 days at the Kritinou camp in Kefalonia. The previous
groups spent also summer in Kefalonia, and Attica peninsula.
The children and their teachers are grateful to
the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine and Their Royal
Highnesses for organizing the warm welcome in Greece as well as
their entire stay there, particularly pointing out the fact that for
many of them this was their first time at the seaside.
Thanks to TRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown
Princess Katherine, the Foundation of HRH Princess Katherine and the
Humanitarian Organization “Lifeline Hellas”, which under patronage
of HRH Princes Katherine, more than 50 children from the Homes for
the children without parental care all over Serbia will spend the
summer in Greece. The project was supported by the Ministry of
Social Welfare of Serbia, the Humanitarian Organization “Lifeline
Hellas”, and the Foundation of HRH Princess Katherine, through their
donors.
This is the continuation of the project initiated
last year, when over 100 children from the Homes for the children
without parental care visited Greece under the patronage of HRH
Crown Princess Katherine, her Foundation, and the “Lifeline”
humanitarian organization.
