Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Prince Peter, Prince Philip and Mr. Michael Garfinkel grandson of The Royal couple attended the “President’s club” award ceremony that marked the end of the first phase of The Tune In project today at The Royal Palace.
The partnership of The Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for Education, National Employment Service and the Australian Embassy gives the project special significance as Australia is the country with the highest rate of successful inclusion of persons with disability within the society.
The “Tune in” project produced more than 30 participants who received certificates of The President’s Club which was held by one of the nation’s best motivational coaches Dragan Vojvodic.
The Tune In project was started in September 2012 with the arrival of the world renowned motivational speaker Nick Vuicic in Belgrade. He held a series of lectures at The White Palace for representatives of socially responsible companies and students with disabilities. The aim of the project is empowering, education and the overall improvement of the lives of disabled people in society.
The project was initiated by the four-month-long program The President’s Club. This program aimed to enable attendants to strengthen their beliefs, change their habits, and master new technologies – all which create and embody what makes a great president. The President’s Club was led by Dragan Vojvodic, a renowned Serbian coach and speaker.
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine along with Her Excellency Dr. Helena Studdert, Ambassador of Australia to Serbia visited the participants on a couple of occasions and thus witnessed their palpable improvement.
The participants come from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Smederevo, Titel, Novi Pazar and Republic of Srpska. In the most part they consist of unemployed persons with disabilities and some representatives of various associations who then relay the content of the meetings to their members.
The Tune In project will continue for the rest of the year, and participants will attend various training sessions, courses and lectures which will enable them to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for them to become more competitive in the labor market.
After a series of motivational talks the project will continue with the participants taking part in some concrete training programs – like computer training, foreign language instruction and project writing and so on.
