Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine welcomed lecturers and participants of the Fourth “Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference 2013“ at the reception organized in their honour tonight at the White Palace.
Fourth “Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference 2013“ will be held in Belgrade from May 16 till May 18, under auspices of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, organized by HRH Crown Princess Katherine Humanitarian Foundation and University Children’ Hospital in Tirsova, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of foreign affairs of Republic of Serbia, Office for cooperation with Diaspora and Serbs in the region of the Government of Serbia, Medical Faculty in Belgrade, Serbian Doctor’s Association, World Health Organization and Medical Boards of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization from Chicago and Toronto.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander welcomed the guests and said: “I am very happy to see so many distinguished doctors from abroad and from Serbia, gathered with mutual goal to help our people and our country to improve the level of health protection”. HRH Crown Prince Alexander also thanked the lecturers from abroad who came back to the country of their origin willing to share their expertise with their colleagues in Serbia.
HRH Crown Princess Katherine addressed the guests and emphasized she was very satisfied with successful organization of Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference. “These Conferences became a tradition, and there is huge interest for them among our doctors. We have over eighty participants from abroad this year”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
Prof. Dr. Oliver Antic, special advisor to H.E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, President of Serbia, also welcomed the guests.
Several important health topics will be discussed at the Fourth “Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference 2013“, with focus on women’s health, radiology and nuclear medicine, psychiatry and neurology, kidney diseases and treatment, pediatrics, surgery, palliative care, stem cells, regenerative medicine and bio-engineering. Beside doctors from Serbia, there are their colleagues and lecturers from seventeen countries at the Conference.
The Fourth “Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference 2013“ will be officially opened on Friday, 17 May 2013, on 9 am at the Metropol Palace Hotel in Belgrade.
Beside the Royal Couple, at the opening there will be also H.E. Prof. Dr. Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, Minister of health of Serbia, His Grace Bishop Andrej of Hvosno, Mrs. Roksanda Nincic, assistant Minister of foreign affairs of Serbia, lecturers and participants.
