His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II delegated Dr. Cedomir Antic, member of the Crown Council, to attend the commemoration service for the Supreme Leader Karadjordje, the commander of the First Serbian Uprising (1804) and founder of modern Serbia and the Karadjordjevic Dynasty and to lay a wreath at Karadjordje’s tomb at the St. George Church in Oplenac today.

The Holy Liturgy was served by clergy of Oplenac vicarage at the St. George church at Oplenac, where the members of the Dynasty are buried, and after that a wreath laying ceremony took place at Karadjordje’s tomb, with full state and military honors.

The wreath was laid by Mr. Cedomir Antic on behalf of Karadjordje’s descendant Crown Prince Alexander II, Mr. Negovan Stankovic, state secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy on behalf of the Government of Serbia, representatives Ministry of defense and Army of Serbia, the Foundation of King Peter I in Topola and members of the Association for preserving tradition of wars of liberation, and other admirers of Karadjordje.
