CHILDREN FROM AUSTRALIA VISIT THE ROYAL
PALACE
Belgrade, 27 June 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine welcomed today a group of children, members of the Serbian Center
from Sidney, and their teachers and parents at The Royal Palace in Dedinje.
The children from Australia came to our country as the guests of the
Cultural Center from Vrnjacka Banja, where they participated at the Review
of Folklore Troupes from all over Serbia. For many of them this was their
first visit to Serbia, for they were born and live far away from the
homeland.
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine talked to the
young ones who were specially for this occasion dressed in Serbian national
folklore costumes, and for their hosts, they sang the popular tune “King
Peter’s Guard Marched”.
After meeting Their Royal Highnesses, the guests took the tour of The
Royal and The White Palace, escorted by the Palace guide.
