OF STUDENTS FROM THE FACULTY OF
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Prototype “Mini-drive” won at the
international student competition
“Challenges in the future of Energy”
in Chicago, USA
Belgrade, 24 August 2005 – HRH
Crown Prince Alexander II extended
his congratulations to
Prof.Dr.Slobodan Vukosavljevic,
mentor of the three postgraduate and
seventeen undergraduate students
from the
Faculty of Electrical Engineering of
the University of Belgrade, who
represented the research team at the
international student competition
“Challenges in the future of Energy”
organized by the
International Electrical and
Electronic Engineers in Chicago,
USA.
In the competition with ten
universities from the whole world,
the proto-type of electrical device
driver for home use, which achieves
energy saving and protection of the
environment that was popularly named
“mini-drive” attained the best
results and won in this competition,
also winning the prize for the best
presentation and the best technical
documentation.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander II
commended in his congratulations the

hope that this achievement of yours
will serve as a stimulation and

make young talented people like you,
elements of the foundations of a new
modern Serbia in the future”.
