“Album of our ancestors’ memories from the First World War”

Crown Prince Alexander was a guest at the opening of the photo exhibition “Album of our ancestors’ memories from the First World War” which displays photographs, war diaries, soldiers’ letters, postcards and other historiographical material related to the participants of the First World War. It is a unique testimony on war adventures and suffering of Serbian soldiers during the war years.

The exhibition “Album of our ancestors’ memories from the First World War” is the result of a desire that today, one hundred years later, we pay due homage to a little man from the Great War and to make sure his great sacrifice for justice, truth, freedom and humanity is not deleted from our memory, but becomes a cultural heritage.

The project “Album of memories” is carried out with the blessings of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, and His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kiril.
