CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AT THE LAUNCHING OF
PUBLICATION “WORLD HERITAGE SERBIA”
Belgrade, 4 January 2010 – His Royal Highness
Crown Prince Alexander II attended the launching of the new
publication “World Heritage Serbia” today at the National Museum
in Belgrade. The numerous guests were addressed by H.E. Mr. Vuk
Jeremic, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Nebojsa Bradic,
Minister of Culture, H.E. Mrs. Zorica Tomic, Serbian Ambassador
to UNESCO, Mrs. Vera Pavlovic Loncarski, director of the
Republic Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute, Prof. Dr.
Radovan Bigovic from the Faculty of Theology and Mr. Marko
Popovic, President of the Commission for the Preservation of
Cultural Goods of Exceptional Importance.
“World Heritage Serbia” is the first
professional publication presenting all cultural monuments in
Serbia that are on the UNESCO list. The Ministry of Culture of
Serbia and Republic Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute
will promote this edition as a part of the programmes “Serbia in
Serbia” and “Serbia in the World”.
The UNESCO list of the world heritage
features 890 locations of cultural and natural importance, with
all being locations of extraordinary universal values.
