HRH Crown Prince Alexander extends the Royal family of Serbia’s congratulations for the Hanukkah holiday to the members of the Jewish community in Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, and all Jews worldwide. The celebration of the great holiday this year starts tonight at sundown on 14 December and ends at sunset on 22 December.
“As the Festival of Lights begins, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the Jewish community in Serbia and around the world. Hanukkah reminds us of the enduring power of faith, resilience, and hope. Its story of perseverance in the face of adversity and the triumph of light over darkness continues to inspire us all. It is a celebration not only of a historical miracle, but also of the universal values of freedom, dignity, and the steadfast pursuit of peace.
The Jewish community has long been an important and valued part of our nation’s rich cultural fabric. I deeply appreciate its lasting contributions to Serbia’s social, cultural, and civic life, and I extend my best wishes to every family marking this blessed holiday.
May the candles of Hanukkah bring warmth to your homes, strength to your hearts, and joy to all who celebrate. It is necessary that all people of faith unite their prayers for peace and stability. And it is what my family and I wish before everything else to all those who celebrate this great holiday, but also to the world we all live in“, stated HRH Crown Prince Alexander.
