CROWN PRINCE SIGNS COOPERATION CHARTER WITH ASSOCIATION
OF SCHOOLS THAT BARRIERS THE NAME OF HM KING ALEXANDER I
Belgrade, 26 January 2009 – His Royal Highness received
the principals of five Primary Schools bearing the name of HM King Alexander
I and accepted a framed Cooperation Charter. The charter was signed between
Crown Prince Alexander II and the Association representatives.
The Association was founded in April 2007 and since then
it works intensively on building cooperation between the five primary
schools from Serbia which bear the name of the grandfather of Crown Prince
Alexander II – His Majesty King Alexander I.
The Cooperation Charter was officially signed during the
celebration of the Patron Saint Day of the Royal Family of Serbia, St.
Andrew the First Called, on 13 December 2008. Today, as the result of that
cooperation His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II was honoured to
accept a framed Cooperation Charter from the Association’s delegation: Mr.
Slobodan Panić, Principal of Primary School in Gornji Milanovac, Mr. Milan
Pušica, Principal of Primary School in New Belgrade, Mr. Goran Seger,
Principal of Primary School in Požarevac and Ms. Dragica Simović, Head of
Morava County School Administration of Ministry of Education.
With the support of HRH Crown Prince Alexander II these
schools organize gatherings in memory of King Alexander I, various
competitions in literary writing, painting, history, music, chorus and
sports, gatherings and visits of the pupils and teaching staff to other
schools as well as to the Royal Complex in Dedinje and Royal Mausoleum in
Oplenac.
