Belgrade, 28 April 2003 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II attended the

The plenary session was attended by the Speaker of the Parliament of

HRH Crown Prince Alexander II addressed the present stating his view on
strengthening the ties between Diaspora and Fatherland.
‘’In the next three days you will exchange opinions and ideas and do
everything to make the ties between Diaspora and Fatherland stronger.
Those ties have never been broken, and they are needed today more then
ever. Our country has become a member of the great family of democratic,
developed European countries. It has returned to the place where
historically and from any other point of view it belongs.
It is up to us to give our best to establish cooperation that can help
our county and our people. For wherever you are, your roots are here and you
should come back to them” – emphasized Crown Prince Alexander II.
This year’s Summit was attended by prominent representatives of Diaspora:
our businessmen, engineers, doctors, humanitarian workers, members of
associations and clubs. This was an extraordinary opportunity to take a look
at the prospects of strengthening the ties between Diaspora and Fatherland,
exchange opinions, establish cooperation between businessmen and doctors and
have individual talks on further cooperation.
