HRH Hereditary Prince Philip and HRH Princess Danica, with their children HRH Prince Stefan and HRH Princess Marija, will pay an official visit to the Serbian community in Canada from 26 June to 1 July 2026.
During the visit, the Princely couple will visit numerous Serbian Orthodox churches, monasteries and cultural centres, as well as attend events that testify to the strength, unity and enduring commitment of the Serbian people to their roots, tradition and Orthodox faith.
The visit will begin on Friday, 26 June, with a visit to the monastery in Milton. The following day, Their Royal Highnesses will visit the Serbian Orthodox community in Hamilton, where they will meet with members of cultural and artistic societies and students of Serbian language schools.
The program will continue with a tour of the property of the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Centre in Binbrook, including a visit to the monument to General Dragoljub Mihailović and discussions with representatives and members of the community. On the same day, a gala dinner will be held in honour of the Royal Couple.
On St. Vitus Day, 28 June, Their Royal Highnesses will attend the traditional “Serbian Day at Niagara Falls”, one of the most significant gatherings of the Serbian community in Canada.
On Monday and Tuesday, June 29th and 30th, the Royal Couple will visit Serbian Orthodox communities in Kitchener, Waterloo and Mississauga, where they will continue discussions with representatives of the church, cultural and social life of the Serbian diaspora.
This visit represents a continuation of the efforts of the Royal Family of Serbia to foster and strengthen ties between the motherland and the diaspora, as well as to provide support to Serbian communities around the world who have been preserving the national identity, cultural heritage and spiritual values of the Serbian people for generations.
“We look forward to meeting our people who have been lovingly preserving Serbian culture, tradition and Orthodox faith far from the Fatherland for generations. This visit is an opportunity to further strengthen ties between the homeland and the diaspora and to discuss together projects important for the future of our people,” said HRH Hereditary Prince Philip on the eve of the visit.
