HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS ATTENDS OPENING OF 6th INTERNATIONAL
CONFERENCE OF SERBIAN NUCLEAR SOCIETY
Belgrade, 22 September 2008 – His Royal Highness Crown
Prince Alexander II attended today the ceremonial opening of the Sixth
International Conference of the Nuclear
Society of Serbia, at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Speeches were delivered by HRH Crown Prince Alexander II,
Mr. Dragoljub Antic, President of the Organizational Board of the
Conference, Prof. Dr Milan Pesic, President of the Nuclear Society of
Serbia, Mr. Stojan Jevtic, Vice President of the Serbian Chamber of
Commerce, Professor Dr. Miroslav Veskovic on behalf of HE Mr. Bozidar
Djelic, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of
Science and Technological Development, Dr. Jovan Nedeljkovic, the Director
of the Vinca Institute.
In his speech the Crown Prince emphasized:”It is an
honour to be here at the Sixth International Conference of the Nuclear
Society of Serbia. I congratulate you all for the 60th anniversary of the
Vinca Institute and the 50th anniversary of the first controlled nuclear
chain reaction in Serbia. I am very impressed with what I have found out
about the development of nuclear science in Serbia. Atomic energy is the
reality of our world. It can have horrifying consequences if not handled
properly. That is why you all have a great responsibility”, concluded the
Crown Prince.
