HRH CROWN PRINCESS AT THE CHARITY CONCERT
IN KOLARAC FOUNDATION ON THE OCCASION OF THE WORLD’S DAY OF CHILDREN WITH
CANCER
Belgrade, 18 February 2003 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine attended the
gala concert organized on the occasion of the World’s Day of children with
cancer, at Kolarac Foundation last night. Beside Princess Katherine, the
concert was also attended by Dr. Zoran Bekic, the chief of the children’s
ward of the Institute for oncology, as well as the director of “Kolo”
Society.
The present were addressed by the president of the Association “Always
with the children”, Mrs. Mileva Licina who pointed out the importance of
this society, noting that more and more children is getting ill with cancer
in our country. The Association “Always with the children” is helping the
children who are patients at the children’s ward of the Institute for
oncology of Serbia, aiming at raising awareness about cancer and raising
funds necessary for the children with cancer. Special attention is given to
the children of sick children.
The concert was performed by Cultural and Artistic Society “Kolo” – youth
section, and Marko Stojanovic with his children’s mime group.
