Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine and Their Royal Highnesses daughter Alison hosted an international cuisine dinner for the representatives of the diplomatic corps at the White Palace in Dedinje. Their Royal Highnesses were also joined by HRH Prince Michel of Yugoslavia.

Traditionally, members of diplomatic missions present their national dishes and drinks, as well as the other practices specific to the regions from which they come from.

Delicious specialties, the finest aroma and beautiful set tables made the White Palace once again a crossroads of many cultures, traditions, tastes and diversity. Crown Prince Alexander welcomed the guests and added that dinners like that are “a journey around the world in miniature”, because through experiencing national dishes and drinks we are getting to know the customs of the country of their origin.

The attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy Serbian folk dances performed by the Cultural Artistic Society Gradimir.

Veal tajine with caramelized plums from Morocco, Brazilian salad “Salpicao” with chicken, Herring “under fur coat” from Russia and pie with aronia, almonds and careening from Sweden are just some of the specialties that were served in the Royal Dining Room. After dinner, coffee always comes in handy, and the guests had the opportunity to taste “Bean and Leaf” espresso, filter and homemade coffee, brewed from the best grains.
