Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, under the Patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, donated new clothing, footwear, toys, school supplies and other essential items to The Podrži Me Parents’ Association, which supports children, young people, and adults with developmental disabilities, as well as their families, throughout Kosovo and Metohija. This substantial donation will benefit 209 individuals who are associated with this organization, primarily from Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvečan, Leposavić, and Zubin Potok, as well as other Serbian communities south of the Ibar River.

Through this humanitarian initiative, Lifeline Chicago continues its mission in supporting vulnerable individuals and families and improving their quality of life. For families facing financial hardship, these essential supplies represent valuable assistance in meeting everyday needs. This significant donation will help ease the challenges that the recipients and their families face on a daily basis, while also providing to them the knowledge that there are people from across the globe who care for them and for their well-being.

“I am deeply grateful to Lifeline Chicago and my Foundation in Belgrade, that work every day to carry out such wonderful humanitarian projects. Every child deserves to grow up surrounded by love, attention, and care. We must not forget our people in Kosovo and Metohija, especially children, people with developmental disabilities, and their families, who need support, understanding, and solidarity. It is our duty to stand by them, show them that they are not alone, and ensure that no child is left without help and care they deserve. I hope this donation will bring joy to the children and make everyday life easier for their families,” said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Lifeline Chicago and HRH Crown Princess Katherine for this valuable donation. Given the difficult circumstances in which we operate, this assistance means a great deal to our beneficiaries and their families. It is especially meaningful to know that they have not been forgotten and that there are people who care about them and their needs. We thank them for their solidarity, compassion, and support,” said Ivana Rakić President of the “Podrži me” North Parents’ Association.

This donation reflects the ongoing commitment of Lifeline Chicago and The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in supporting vulnerable communities, bringing hope to families in need, and ensuring that children and individuals with disabilities in Kosovo and Metohija receive the care, attention, and assistance they deserve.
