It is with great sadness that His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander and the Advisory Bodies of the Crown announce that Mr. Djordje Djurisic, a member of the Crown Council, passed away on 14 December 2018.

Crown Advisor Mr Djordje Djurisic was born on 31 October 1930 in Bern, Switzerland. He finished elementary and high school in Belgrade, and in 1954 graduated at the University of Belgrade Law School. Since 1959 attorney at law and translator for English.

Doyen in his profession, Mr Djurisic was the member and the secretary of the Board of the Bar of Serbia, and the vice chairman of the International Lawyers Union for Yugoslavia from 1983 to 1987 and from 2001 to 2005, associate member of the American Bar Association (ABA), International Law and Practice Section and chairman of the British-Yugoslav Barristers Association. In 2014, HRH Crown Prince Alexander decorated him with the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the White Eagle.

“We shall always remember his precious, wise advice”, said the Crown Prince in his letter of condolences.
