CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER LAYS WREATH ON THE TOMB OF HM KING
ALEXANDER OF YUGOSLAVIA
Topola, 8 October 2010 – Their Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II accompanied by Crown Princess Katherine laid wreath on the tomb of
HM King Alexander I of Yugoslavia today in the Mausoleum of the Church of St.
George in Oplenac. The memorial service was served by His Grace Bishop Jovan of
Sumadija.
HM King Alexander I of Yugoslavia was assassinated in
Marseille during a state visit to France on 9 October 1934, together with the
French Foreign Minister Louis Barthou. HRH Crown Prince Alexander II is a
grandson of HM King Alexander I of Yugoslavia the Unifier.
