“PRIVREDNIK” HUMANITARIAN FUND’S JUBILEE
CELEBRATED
Belgrade, 24 January 2003 – The celebration ceremony on the occasion of
10th anniversary of re-establishing and 105th anniversary of the existing of
Humanitarian Fund “Privrednik”, whose Patron is HRH Hereditary Prince Peter
III Karadjordjevic, was organized yesterday at the Serbian National Theatre
in Novi Sad.
The ceremony was attended by many distinguished guests among which His
Grace Bishop of Jegar Porfirije, member of the Executive Council of the
Assembly of Vojvodina Mr. Djordje Djukic, the Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Borislav
Novakovic, representatives of Russian and Italian Embassies and many other
prominent personages from the political, cultural and business life of Novi
Sad and Vojvodina.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander II was represented by the member of the Crown
Council Mr. Dragomir Acovic, who is also the director of the Fund of the
Royal House of Karadjordjevics, established in 2001 with the aim to aid
further education of the best students of our universities.
In his message to the members of “Privrednik’s” Board, and its protégées
that was read on the occasion, Crown Prince Alexander said that the nations
and societies who do not take care of those who they leave their world to,
have no future.
“For over a hundred years “Privrednik” has tried to secure that future,
and it has done it diligently, persistently and sincerely.
I regret that I am not able to be with you today, but I am with you in
what only matters: in spirit, in my heart and soul, and in actions!
Extending you congratulations and best wishes from your Patron, Prince
Peter, I wish the spirit of responsibility and endeavor, and the feeling for
justice is always with you, in this and the future generations”, said the
Crown Prince.
The present were addressed by Mr. Acovic, too, who wished “Privrednik”,
with its 105 years of age, to remain one of the stable, important and
respectable institutions of our nation, whose descendants will carry the
privileged name of “Privrednik’s” protégées with honor through life.
“Such is the message and the strong wish to all of you, from HRH Crown
Prince Alexander II and his sons Princes Peter, Philip and Alexander”, added
