THE CHANCELLERY OF
H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE Alexander II
OF YUGOSLAVIA
PROMOTION OF THE PROJECT “MODERN SERBIAN
STATE 1804-2004 – THE CHRONOLOGY”
Belgrade, 14 February 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown
Princess Katherine attended the promotion of the project “Modern Serbian
State 1804-2004 -The Chronology” at the City Hall today.
This is the first
book of the trilogy planned for the next year (“Chronology”, “Monograph” and
“Individuals”). The trilogy is a set of detailed guidebooks of a modern
concept intended for the broad domestic and international audience. This
project by a group of authors, carried out by The City of Belgrade Archives,
will provide a broad and valuable basis for many other editions –
multimedia, exhibitions, further research, etc.
The chronology is conceived
as a modern, open, interactive guide through history, general climate,
phenomena, customs, people, habits and potentials of our country.
The
purpose of this edition is to reconstruct for the first time the past two
centuries in their entirety: political life, development of the
institutions, legal system and constitutionality, economy, society, culture,
science, education, architecture and urban planning, transport, medicine,
media and sports. The chronology includes also the development of the
institutions such as the Church and the Army.
Beside Their Royal Highnesses this promotion was also attended by the
Speaker of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro Parliament Prof. Dr.
Dragoljub Micunovic, Minister of Culture Mr. Branislav Lecic and the Mayor
of Belgrade Mrs. Radmila Hrustanovic.
