SLEEPING BEAUTY AT THE WHITE PALACE
Belgrade, 10 June 2004 – TRH Crown Prince
Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended the play
“Sleeping Beauty” performed for Their Royal Highnesses and the
participants of the 28th NGO meeting by the children from “Ladybird”
kindergarten from Nadalj near Srbobran.
On behalf of the children and their children,
Their Royal Highnesses were thanked by the headmaster Mrs. Svetlana
Zivkovic who invited The Royal Couple to visit Nadalj and their
pre-school institution.
The young ones, costumed as the King, Queen,
Princess and Prince, fairies and Court Ladies, at the improvised
stage of a fairy tale castle, by the candle light, performed a play
of the legendary fairy tale. The children age from 4 to 6 got a big
applause of TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine, as well as of the everybody present, for their original
and very professional reproduction of the “Sleeping Beauty”.
Saying goodbye to the children Their Royal
Highnesses delivered them the presents provided by the Foundation of
HRH Crown Princess Katherine with the aid from many local and
international donors. Joyful children from the “Ladybird”
kindergarten had a chance to take a picture at the real Palace with
the Crown Prince and Crown Princess.
