THE CHANCELLERY OF
H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE Alexander II
OF YUGOSLAVIA

STATEMENT OF HRH CROWN PRINCE
ALEXANDER II REGARDING THE KILLING
AND WOUNDING OF THE SERBIAN YOUNG
MEN ON THE ROAD UROSEVAC-STRPCE

Belgrade, 29 August 2005 –
Regarding the killing of citizens of
Kosovo and Metohia, Ivan Dejanovic
and Aleksandar Stankovic, and
wounding of Aleksandar Janicijevic
and Nikola Dukic, on the road
Ursevac – Strpce the day before
yesterday, His Royal Highness Crown
Prince Alexander II released the
following statement:
“It was with outrage and
apprehension that I learned about
the killing and wounding of the
Serbian young men in Kosovo and
Metohia. I most strongly condemn all
forms of violence, particularly the
ones instigated by ethnic and
religious hatred.
I appeal to the representatives
of the international community and
to the responsible institutions to
do everything in their power to stop
new crimes, to reveal and bring to
the face of justice the actors of
this violence that deprives the
citizens of Kosovo and Metohia of
peace and conditions for living in
safety. Ethnic clashes and violence
will only make the difficult
situation worse.
I express my deepest condolences
to the families of Ivan Dejanovic
and Aleksandar Stankovic, and wish
the wounded young men a fast and
successful recovery, hoping that
these victims will be the last
victims of terrorism on the
territory of Kosovo and Metohia” –
emphasized The Crown Prince
Alexander II in the statement.
