THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES ATTEND HUMANITARIAN EVENT STAR OF
FRANKIE IN MONACO
Belgrade, 6 December 2007 – A Christmas Gala Evening was held
in Monaco tonight, at the Hotel De Paris – Salle d’Empire, which included a
tombola, Gala dinner, performance of Frankie the Clown, an auction and a Star
Ball, all for humanitarian purposes.
Their Royal Highnesses are staying at the Monaco Palace
guests of HSH Prince Albert. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander was
seated next to HSH Prince Albert of Monaco and they used this opportunity to
exchange opinions on many issues.
The highlight of the evening was the famous Star Frankie. The
Jewellery shop Trau-Bros-Scintilla Monaco donated a diamond necklace with 12
stars that symbolise 12 Humanitarian Ambassadors. Every Ambassador wore one star
for the month she is representing. Besides Crown Princess Katherine, who wore
this exclusive necklace during April of this year in Belgrade, the other eleven
ladies are: Madame Bettina Dotta from Monaco for the month of January,
Mademoiselle Tasha de Vasconcelos from Mozambique for February, Madame Edith
Bonge Ondimba from Gabon for March, Madame Tereza Maxova from Poland for May,
Madame Touraya Bouabid from Morocco for June, Madame Silvana Giacibini from
Italy for July, Madame Barabra Piasecka Johnson from the United States for
August, Madame Carrie Rubin from Israel for September, Sarah, Duchess of York
from the United Kingdom for October, Madame Guilaine Chenu Telle from France for
November and HSH Princess Stephanie of Monaco for December.
Another very special segment of the evening was an auction of
a diamond necklace signed by HSH Prince Albert of Monaco and an evening gown of
Helene Kristiansen.
The evening ended with a Star Ball.
The proceeds of this evening’s events will be used for
humanitarian purposes for various humanitarian Foundations, including the HRH
Crown Princess Katherine Foundation.
