PRINCESS KATHERINE VISIT ORTHODOX BISHOP’S COURT AND ROMAN CATHOLIC
CATHEDRAL IN VRSAC
Belgrade, 24 October – TRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess
Katherine visited Bishop’s Court in Vrsac today, upon invitation from His
Grace Hrizostom, Orthodox Bishop of Banat, and then went to Roman Catholic
Cathedral where they were welcomed by the parish priest Laslo Djuris.
After visiting Vrsac Health Center, TRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and
Crown Princess Katherine visited His Grace Hrizostom, Bishop of Banat, at
the Bishop’s Court, where in a cordial conversation they expressed their
shared view on the respect of all citizens regardless of their ethnic or
religious origin, as well as respect of religious freedom, human rights and
democratic principles.
Their Royal Highnesses were particularly impressed by the building of
Bishop’s Court, built in 1783, and its numerous icons and paintings.
After Bishop’s Court, a visit to Roman Catholic parish priest Laslo
Djuris followed, and Roman Catholic Cathedral in Vrsac, the oldest Roman
Catholic place of worship in our country.
