TRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND CROWN
PRINCESS KATHERINE AT THE MONASTERY OF DJURDJEVI STUPOVI
Belgrade, 26 October – After visiting Brus and Raska, TRH Crown Prince
Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine were invited by His Grace Bishop
Artemije of Raska and Prizren to see the Monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi,
endowment of Stefan Nemanja from the 12th century, and Peter’s Church in
Novi Pazar, the oldest building in this region, built in the 7th century.

Bishop Artemije expressed his pleasure for the opportunity to welcome TRH
Crown Prince Aleksandar II and his wife in Old Ras, the land where Serbian
state was born.
After visiting Pear’s Church Their Royal Highnesses and Bishop Artemije
went together to the Town Hall of Novi Pazar and the Mechihat of the Islamic
Community of Sanjak where they had open and cordial talks with the Mufti of
