PRINCESS KATHERINE ATTEND PRESENTATION OF BELGRADE AWARDS
FOR 2009
Belgrade, 19 April 2010 – Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine attended today the presentation of Belgrade Awards
for 2009 at the City Assembly of Belgrade. This ceremony was
attended by many distinguished guests, including His
Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, Mr. Dragan Djilas the
Mayor of Belgrade, Prof. Dr Branko Kovacevic, rector of
Belgrade University, Mr. Zoran Alimpic, Deputy President of
Belgrade Assembly, and representatives of public and
cultural life of Belgrade and Serbia.
The Belgrade Award is presented to the
most distinguished citizens of Belgrade for eight years in a
row for extraordinary achievements in different fields. This
year the award was given to: Ms. Drinka Gojkovic, for
literature, Ms. Natasa Tapuskovic, for theatre, Mr. Miroslav
Momcilovic, for film and television, Mr. Kosta Bogdanovic,
for painting and applied arts, Ensemble for Antique Music
“Renaissance”, for music, Ms. Jelena Djordjevic, for
humanistic sciences, Dr Milan Devic, for science and
inventions, Dr Marko Munjiza, for medicine, Mr. Dejan
Miljkovic and Mr. Jovan Mitrovic, for architecture, Studio
B, for journalism, Ms. Natasa Calukovic, for education, Ms.
Ana Grigorovic, for arts. The Fire Brigade of Zemun and its
leader Mr. Svetislav Cavic won the special “Svetislav
Stojanovic” award.
