YOU THE PEOPLE SAVE SERBIA

VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRATIC OPPOSITION.
 
This Sunday 24 September citizens go to the polls and vote. Citizens
of Serbia you have only one option, vote for change. You have suffered
enough. Vote for the Democratic Opposition. Citizens you cannot afford
to be the everlasting captive servants and puppets of Slobodan Milosevic’s
family and mafia regime.  
Citizens of Serbia you have realized by now that the regime does
not care about you, your jobs, the economy, social services and your children’s
future. You the people must come out of your spell and be aware that the
regime needs sanctions for survival. The regime and its elite thrive in
power using criminally gained money thanks to the appalling sanctions and
grave western mistakes. One of the regime’s wishes is to create conditions
for the west to make another blunder to get NATO to criminally bomb again
our homeland to buy more time in power. Citizens save Serbia, go to the
polls and vote for change. Only with change will Serbia be able to rebuild,
retain territory and get back its dignity.
Democracy is not a gift, it is a struggle. Democracy must be finally
conquered and you the people have to demand democracy for Serbia. Milosevic
will not give you democracy. Milosevic will use you. So do not hide, but
rather go to the polls. Unite and put your differences aside. It means
that you the people vote for reason, against madness. Vote for your own
dignity and the right to growth and happiness. Vote against the regime
tyranny, isolation, single-mindedness and lies. For the sake of the future,
do not vote for the oblivion of the Serbian people and another decade of
lunacy, more provoked wars, continued hostility amongst brothers and sisters,
pain and poverty. Political problems and differences must be solved calmly
after the elections under the rule of law. You have no option, but to cast
your vote for Democracy! Serbian men and women be strong and put an end
to the corrupt dictatorship of Slobodan Milosevic and his family. I call
on all citizens regardless of who you are and from all political persuasions
to respect each other and think only of the good and future of Serbia.
Citizens do not be provoked or blinded by the regime that will try the
lot to lead you astray and to provoke you. I call upon the military that
are after all the people, to wake up, defend democracy and protect the
people from the perverted menacing grip of the regime. I call upon all
our institutions to be rational, not be puppets of the regime and support
change. There is no other way; the future of Serbia can only be as a great
democracy and a respected member of the brotherhood of nations. The Serbian
people want and deserve caring friends on all continents, not friendship
with marginal regimes that use the Serbian people, but rekindled true friendship
with its traditional historical friends both in the east and in the west.
The chance for Serbia will only come with the departure of the imperialistic
dictatorial regime of the Milosevic family. 
I publicly cast my voice for the Democratic Opposition, I support
their List and I trust that Dr Kostunica shall keep his promise to call
within a year real and free democratic elections. At that time, all political
Parties will have the real opportunity, under equal conditions and freedom
of the media, to put forward to the people freely their political programs
and objectives. The people will then have the opportunity to express their
will in a secret ballot without restraint, with full knowledge of issues,
without fear, pressure, lies, in the way that is worthy of citizens, aware
of their own past and traditions, sure in the road they would like to follow
and in the future they desire to live.
The regime is anti Serbian and dishonest, so be alert for fraud
and cheating in the elections. The regime is a cheat since it has denied
the people freedom of the media and human rights. The regime lies, uses
propaganda over TV, radio and other means, it threatens, and blackmails
to poison and captivate citizen’s minds and bodies. The regime collects
protection money using its family political party and has stolen, spent
and abused what belongs to you the people over the last ten years. The
regime arrests and beats innocent people. The regime only cares about itself,
lives in imperialistic dictatorship luxury whilst you the people rot in
poverty and wants you the citizens to be its perpetual slaves. No more
slavery. Serbia deserves better, must survive and grow as a democracy.
